Trademark registration is a form of intellectual property protection that allows companies to protect words or visual symbols that companies use to distinguish their goods or services from other similar goods or services produced by other companies. To register a trademark, the applicant must submit an application for trademark registration to the appropriate trademark registration authority in the prescribed format. After filing a trademark application, the trademark registration authority processes the application. If there are any doubts in the application for trademark registration, the examiner shall mark the application as inconsistent with the form and request correction of the application for trademark registration. If there is no doubt, the trademark examiner may approve the advertisement of the trademark application before registration or even object to the registration. As a result, if the Trademark Registrar marks the application as unsuccessful in format validation or sends it back to the EDP, the applicant can amend the Trademark Registration and reapply. The act of trademark modification by a trademark expert should be prepared on the basis of the facts and reasons why the trademark was not authorized for further processing. If the Trademark Examiner determines that the amendments are sufficient and resolves any issues raised by the Trademark Examiner, the application may be processed and presented by the Trademark Examiner for examination in order to create a Trademark Examination Report.
