There are companies in India that started out as Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) but are now looking to convert to private limited companies to promote the growth and prosperity of their businesses. Under section 366 of the Companies Act 2013 and the provisions referred to in the Companies (Can Be Incorporated) Rules 2014, an LLP may be converted into a private limited company. For example, an LLP requires 7 partners and requires approval from all partners. Advertisements are published in local and national newspapers and the entire registration process begins after the LLP receives a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the registered ROC.
